Which models are available to you depends on your organization’s configuration. If you don’t see a model or mode described here, ask your administrator.
The Model Selector
Click the model name above the message box to open the model selector. From there you can:- Switch between Fast and Pro modes
- Pick a specific model size directly
- Let the Router choose automatically
Model Sizes
Instead of tracking individual model names, think in terms of size and capability:Fast
Lightweight and quick. Best for simple, high-volume requests: quick questions, short summaries, formatting. Not designed for deep reasoning or complex tool use.
Standard
Balanced speed and reasoning. A solid default for everyday professional work, including most conversations that use connectors and tools.
Advanced reasoning
The deepest analysis available. Best for complex, multi-step problems, strategic planning, and tasks that combine reasoning with several external tools.
The Router: Let WonkaChat Choose
If you’d rather not pick a model size yourself, select the Router in the model selector. It reads your request and automatically routes it to a model suited to the task, balancing quality, speed, and cost. If your organization allows it, you can tune the Router’s behavior in Settings → General by choosing a preset, for example one that favors performance, one that favors cost, or a balanced option.Fast and Pro Modes
Alongside individual model sizes, WonkaChat offers two ready-to-use modes:Fast mode
Good for general-purpose work. Doesn’t have reasoning capabilities — not a good fit for system usage (ERP, CRM, and similar tools).
Pro mode
Good for complex tasks and reasoning, including system usage (ERP, CRM, and similar tools).
Model Regions
Each model in the selector shows a region badge. Models are provided through different providers: most run in the EU, but some run in the US or globally, depending on the provider. Check the badge before using a model for sensitive data, and ask your administrator if your organization restricts which regions are allowed. For the full picture on data handling and certifications, see Security & Governance.Model Selection for Agents
When you build or edit an agent, you choose its model independently from your own chat model. This lets you, for example, give a customer-support agent a fast model for quick replies while keeping an advanced reasoning model for an agent that does in-depth research.Choosing the Right Approach

Start with the Router. It’s built for exactly this — you describe the task, and it picks a suitable model.

Use Fast mode or a fast model. Quick questions, short summaries, and light formatting don’t need deep reasoning.

Use Pro mode or a standard/advanced reasoning model. System usage (ERP, CRM, and similar tools) needs reasoning capabilities that fast models don’t have.
I'm doing complex, multi-step analysis

Use an advanced reasoning model. It’s built for the hardest, most demanding tasks.
